STILLWATER, OK - Sources have confirmed that Oklahoma State PG Tyree Griffin is leaving the program. This was first reported by CBS Sports. Griffin averaged 23.7 minutes per game and put up 5.2 points with 3.9 assists a game last season.
This is the second player to announce they are leaving the program under new head coach Brad Underwood. Just earlier this week Ex-Oklahoma State F Joe Burton announced on Instagram he was transferring from OSU.
Griffin has not released a statement on his reason for transferring; but after a solid sophomore campaign and with the return of star freshman PG Jawun Evans, it looks as if Griffin may be seeking a better role and playing time. OSU also made a change in coaching in March with the firing of former head coach Travis Ford.
After two departures this week, Oklahoma State fans are holding their breath to see what other dominoes may fall.
